Radiculopathy
Radiculopathy is a term for symptoms that occur with compression of your nerve roots as they leave the spinal cord. This can result in pain, numbness/tingling, and or weakness in your arms/trunk/legs. This can occur acutely from a specific event (e.g. disc herniation) or from a more chronic process (e.g. arthritic changes of the spine). Treatment varies from nonoperative to operative and depends on the severity and duration of symptoms.
